Supercharge your Shift with these Mindset Tools

How is your energy today? Not the amount of energy you have to run around and be physically active (although important too!) but your emotional energy, your vibration as call it - the energy that Einstein is referring to in this quote:

"Everything is energy and that's all there is to it.  Match the frequency of the reality you want and you can not help but get that reality.  It can be no other way.  This is not philosophy, this is physics."   

When you are creating a shift to bring something new and better into your life, the creative energy work requires that you match your energy to that of the new 'you', so to speak. Tune into new thoughts, to create different feelings (and vibrations) which alters your awareness of opportunities, changes your behaviour, and what happens in your life. This is oversimplifying it but at a high level this is how it works :)  This can sound magical to some - but we have no problem accepting that when we tune the radio to CBC 1 we get news, or to Virgin radio, we get pop songs.  These radio stations are on different frequencies and you have to BE on the right one to get the radio program you desire.  Same thing!  You have to tune into what you want - BE it at a vibrational, feeling, energy level - to get what you want. 

Feeling is one way to tap into understanding this because feeling is really a word we use to explain our vibration.  Great feelings, high vibration.  Terrible feelings, low vibrations.  And everything in between.

So how do you do that?  Start by changing your thoughts.  Every day this week I am doing short Lunch & Learn Facebook Live videos to teach you different mindset shifting tools. Give yourself the time to learn these tools and practice them daily.  You can watch these short videos on Facebook Hardess Planning - practical and powerful ways that you can nurture the new thoughts so that they grow roots in your subconscious mind to become, over time, deep-seeded beliefs.  Because a belief is just a thought you think a lot - and since you will never out-perform your inner beliefs in what you are capable of - you must first think and feel differently on the inside.  


Let's start with Affirmations. If you don't use them yet, give it a try today! There are some wonderful, overarching affirmations that everyone can benefit from. Like "I'm so happy and grateful now that I let abundance flow freely in my life" or "I'm so happy and grateful now that money flows to me from a variety of different sources on a continuous basis". Keep using these if they inspire you and feel good!


When you are working to change a belief, take the time to create a specific, well-crafted affirmation that will counter the negative thought you are eliminating - weeding from your mind garden - with a high-vibration, emotional, positive and present tense statement that reframes the thought into something beautiful. Start by asking yourself what you currently believe about your goal, the new you - some beliefs will serve you, some won't. Celebrate the good ones and keep them strong! Look at the negative beliefs to find the one that really give you that nasty feeling in the pit of your stomach...this is a belief you need to change; your emotions will give you the perfect cues. Now come up with a statement that counters that, reframes it - starting with "I'm so happy and grateful" will cause you to write in present tense - and THIS becomes your specific affirmation. Helping people to word smith and really get the affirmation right, so that it inspires AND speaks to your subconscious mind is one of my superpowers (if I do say so myself!) and I love helping people with this. So don't be a stranger if you need help!


Next, super charge your affirmation using Mirror Work. That's right, my friend, talk to yourself in the mirror! Easy, free - and while it might seem silly at first - very effective. Say it with gumption, with facial expressions, with a fist pump or whatever gets your energized! And say it in each eye multiple times (because hey, you can't look at both eyes at the same time!).




We don't get what we want in life, we get what we expect. Have you heard this before? You can help foster your expectation of something different, results you want, using Future Journal Writing.

Write a journal entry, dated in the future, but written in present tense - like you are really writing it 3 months from now - and paint a picture with your words of everything going on in your life, your business, your family, your health...whatever these different results are focused on for you, and related to your affirmation. What would it look like if it ALL CAME TRUE??


Ready to push yourself a little bit more? To really see yourself in the spotlight, BEING the person for whom these new results are now the new normal? Take your affirmation, and your journal entry and write up Your Life as a Movie, say 6 months or a year from now. Describe how you feel, what you are doing, who you are spending time with...describe the set, the props, the costumes, the music (the

emotional tone of your life!), the cast, and best of all - YOU - the STAR of the movie. This exercise often makes people uncomfortable - it might make you feel like it's too much, like you're bragging. Don't see it that way, see yourself as the rightful star of your life (you only get one, this time around anyway)...and that being that star still allows you to play a supporting role in many other people's movies. You CAN do both (listening other Moms out there?!).
